Christmas time in Villa Oleksia

On halfway of December and finally got some snow. Would love to get some more though. And now it is all gone. 

Don't forget to feed the birds, our little friends. 

I have been seeking the Christmas spirit by lighting candles ja and burning wood in fireplace. Starting to feel little a bit like Christmas. 

I'm sharing some christmas decoration ideas here. Trying to keep the decoration as natural and also as ecological as possible. It is a good idea to reuse the existing decoration but also one can find usable material from nature for christmas decor. Nature can work also as an excellent inspiration for decor. For me nature is the best advisor and inspiration for my work. All the colours and materials are in perfect harmony in nature. 

An old sledge looks so nice with laderns. 

Old cardboard boxes are wrapped with old (1938!!) newspaper.
The string is hemp, so much more ecological than plastic. 

Lichen and moss make lovely decoration.
Colourful fruits and veggies can be used as a decor too. 

Spruce twigs are traditional Christmas decoration.
Here twigs are wrapped with rope and christmas light.
Chick and simple.  

Traditional cinnamon Christmas cookies under process.
They can be used as a decoration too. 

Don't forget the flowers.
Amaryllis is such a majestic flower. 

It is a good idea to decorate the Christmas tree
little bit advance to be able to enjoy the beauty of it bit longer.
